Default locking gas cap

I'm looking at the locking gas caps from Dennis Kirk for my '05 RK. I think the fill cap onthe right side tank has to be a vented? Can anyone confirm beforeI place the order, they show a vented and non-vented cap available.

Why a locking cap? I thought it was a pain in the **** to always need my key. I took my lock off. I don't think stealing gas or tampering is a big problem.

I've had the H-D locking cap.

It only lasted for about 10 months.

The dealership said sure its warrented.... 90 days. I didn't get another one at some $35.oo.

I don't mind spending money on something that is durable, 10 months was not durable enough for my money.

They can keep theirPOSlocking caps.
