Default throttle cable switch?

Don't have the factory manual yet, but can anyone tell me what the little switch or resistor on the throttle cable is? It has 2 electrical connectors hooked up to it. Is there any adjustment for it and what is it supposed to do?

No adjustment to that switch needed and doesn't matter which connectors get hooked up to which tab. It has to do with the cruise control if your scoot has that.

second question, I had to go +3 on throttle cables for a 2000 FLH, my original cables did not have this electrical connector, the +3 did, I don't have cruise, did I get the right cables?

Even if your bike doesn't have cruise, the connection gets hooked up. It just has to do with the roll off for the cruise. Now, if you didn't have the connection and you got cruise, you would have the wrong cables.
