My 2000 FLHTCU-I Electraglide Ultra Classic turn signals work fine when I first start out on a ride...then they just quit working.
All of my bulbs and sockets are ok and I've chased out wiring to be sure I have no shorts...
I seem to always come back to the Turn Signal Module as the problem.
Does anyone have advise about this module? Are there aftermarket replacements?
I am hesitant to buy a "good" use one on Ebay because it may do the same thing.
Any leads on best price and your experience if you've had this problem too would be appreciated.
Heat related is a good thought.
Were it mine I'd check the temp at the module when it fails. I'd then let it cool and carefully use a heat gun to bring it up to that temp and see if I could make it fail without riding it.
I'd also do some other basic checks like making sure the fuse legs are shiney and, if it has relays, swapping them around
No I didnt add or replace with LEDs
the charging system is good and has a new battery....
i dobeieve the module is overheating but cant prove it...
Anyone know where to get a fair price
The HD part # is 68540-96
So you checked continuity for the turn signal wires up to the TSM? Did you check for any codes? Is the only malfunction the turn signals or other electrical components? Head lamp working? Fuses? The TSM module is a part I would not buy used either, just saying! I would also use some contact cleaner and clean the connectors.

If the TSM fails there would be more electrical components failing as well, like the bike not starting, no flashers, etc...
I dont have any codes showing... turn signals and emgcy flashers are the only problem.
talked to a HD tech at Buddy Stubbs HD in Anthem AZ today, he said that module failure is a common issue.
But he didnt have one they cost $150.00
