As mentioned, they do the memory foam based on what you want. One little known fact though....if you want a more firm seat they have different grades of fitness and can tailor it to what you want. I LOVE my Corbin seat but it sits me up to high. I asked them if they could make the seat 'Corbin firm' and they said absolutely. Seat came out awesome and is very comfortable. Call them and they'll answer any question you have, awesome company to deal with.
As for the guy above that had a bad issue with re-doing a Corbin. Why would you send that seat to them when Corbin offers the same exact service and will do it for you and cover their work?? They also stopped doing work on Corbins quite a while ago....
I am curious about the narrowed seat pan. Do they actually cut the seat pan or remove the factory foam or both to get it narrow? Thanks!

Popshd - I don't know how thick the memory foam is, I do know that when mean city cycles added the memory foam and did the tail bone relief pocket on my stock SG seat, it came back with with the exact same dimensions for thickness and seating position. To me, it was worth calling mean city and discussing it with them, I found them be very helpful in explaining what the mods were and what they could do to make me more comfortable on the long highway rides.
I just did my own seat. I have the pillow look HD seat. Decided to put some memory foam in. I looked all over the place for 10 Lb. memory foam and could not find any. I ended up ordering 3" 5.5 Lb. memory foam and used that. Have not riden it yet but just sitting on it feels good. Will find out in May when I usually put insurance on it.
Last summer we went on a week long ride and by the end our butts were getting a little sore. Seat is old, so figured it just was needing a little rebuilding. Hope it works out or I will be hearing about it from the wife in no time.

The GF and I have the same seat. Pretty damn comfortable as it is. Mine was a little more broke in and a bit shorter for her, so she took mine and I got her's, which was a bit newer. I will probably do the same thing you did. I can't seem to find a seat the sits worth a crap for long rides. I've done several from St. Louis to Houston area straight through, 850 miles or so on this seat.
It is quite easy to do. Took me about 2-3 hours if that. What I did was I marked out where I wanted to cut and then used a Utility knife that has the type of blade that you extend and break pieces off when they get dull.
So I extended the blade out 2 ź inches and went around the out side of my pattern going straight up and down with a sawing motion so the cut would only be 2 ź deep. I then made cuts straight across the pattern and up and down the pattern about 1 apart so now you have a checkerboard affect in your cuts. You can now just carefully tear the squares out one at a time, once you get a few out you can have some room to use your knife and cut the bottoms of the others out.
I then used a disc sander with really coarse grinding pad on it just to even the bottom out. Now memory foam compacts alot, so I used 3 foam so that is why I only went about 2 ź deep. Used some paper over the hole so I traced exactly how big the cut was and used that as a temp plate to cut the new foam. Drawing out the pattern on the new foam I also added ˝ inch all the way around so your new foam will be lager then your cut hole. I cut that using a electric kitchen knife, cuts like butter no problem. I then used a good spray on foam glue and put it in.
Now you can put the original topping foam back on or buy some new stuff. I bought the black stuff just because that is waterproof. I then recovered that with plastic again and then replaced my seat cover.

I never really asked, but I assume they cut the seat pan, itself. I will tell you this though, it makes it much easier to touch the ground. It also eliminated the pressure points on my inner thigh. This is my go to seat, for shorter distance rides. I now have a Corbin for the longer rides.
Im hoping my experience is as good as every one says. I'm sending my seat out this week. Double decker memory foam, super narrow mod, down 1.5", and tailbone relief

First question: You saying Mean City isn't good enough to send a seat to or the fact they don't cover their work?
Second question: Most likely stopped after they ruined my seat, sure didn't stop the payment part tho.

you must have never dealt with Corbin customer service (or lack there of). Its God awful and is no secret on HDF or Google.

Actually I have dealt with them twice in the last year and they were fantastic each time. They had issues a few years ago with their customer service, as you obviously have noticed, but they have made huge improvements.
