2002 Road King FLHRCI DTC Code 25
Getting error code 25 when I pull codes. It is intermittent.
Manual says I have rear coil failure.

Question is where is the rear coil so I can swap it with the front one to see if symptom moves?
And a related question. Where is the front coil so I can swap it with the rear one?

Called primary and secondary, but serves front and rear cylinders; it’s all in one unit so you cannot swap front for rear. Look at you spark plug wires and follow them up to the “box” at the front of your engine, that’s the coil.

My code has stopped for now (Just Historic). I can predict when it fails however.

I turn ignition on, set run switch to start, Click the start button and the bike usually fires up immediately. Occasionally it misfires and that is when the code is set. After that the bike will be hard to start grinding away sounding like it is grinding metal against metal. It will start after several attempts.
