Default Angled Valve Stems

I recently purchased a 2017 Ultra Limited and have found it very difficult to add and or check air pressure in the rear tire without removing a saddlebag. I have angled gauges and air fittings but its still difficult. I am replacing the tires and bead adding beads for balancing. I would like to replace the valve stems at the same time with angled valve stems. Since they are available in brass or aluminum, does anyone have a recommendation? Also, does anyone know the correct diameter of the OEM stem?

I'd stay away from Beads, tried them, no luck. Went back to weights. Some have had luck with them though.

I also found it to be a PIA to add air (I typically do it with a bicycle pump before leaving the house). I got one of these, that I keep in the saddlebag and just screw it on when needed.

For checking the air, I just lay on the ground next to the rear tire and make due.
I keep an old towel on a hook in the garage and just shake it off after every time I use it.

BTW: I bought 2 bike pumps before I found one I like. A good pump without a large head for both Presta and Schrader, is hard to find. The larger, multipurpose head is also a PIA.

You don't need angled valve stems. Get one of these and keep it in a saddlebag: https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...stem-extension

I haven't bought them yet, but I've seen these mentioned many times. https://www.kurveygirl.com/shop/index.php?cPath=169

The Bridgeport stems are pretty much the gold standard. I've put them on every bike I've owned.

I also used the Kurvey Girl 90 degree valve stems on both bikes. I like them.

In regaurd to balancing beads, I tried them. They work but I found them to be a pain to get through the valve stem. Especially with 90 degree valve stems. I started using Ride On and I’m very happy with it. It’s easy to get in the tire and it’s easy to clean up when changing tires.
