I picked up my brand new 19 SGS about a week ago and I just noticed that the alarm is not working.
what makes me say this is because after installing some parts I turned the ignition to on and started it and I noticed I did not have the FOB with me, so, I shut it back down turn the switch to off and no red flashing light on the dash.
Im I doing something wrong or is there a way to arm and disarm the Alarm?
street glide special comes standard with security.
do you have 2 fobs? are they both far enough away that the signal is not reaching the antenna? after you've started your bike, when you shut it down, do your taillights flash twice to indicate alarm armed?

sounds like a visit to the dealer is in order.
Yes to Fobs
sounds like the dealer didn't activate it. take it in and have them do their job. makes you wonder what else they skipped.
I did have the Dealer do a few things on the bike like Bars and a stage 2 they both done at different times and maybe they disarmed the security system.
READ YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL. It will cover the maintenance mode, transport mode and other options that YOU can turn on or off. And learn how to enter and use a PIN before a dead fob battery leaves you dead in the toolies. Nothing like a $200 tow back to civilization to motivate you to what you should have already done.
When i picked up my 18 RG they set up the security system.. then it just stopped before i even left the parking lot. Thankfully we caught it and they took it and reset the system. 2nd time setting it up worked and no problems since.
