I have a 2019 Street Glide standard with no upgrades except for the lighting.
There seems to be a code that has popped up that I don't think was there before I switched the lights to LED.
I have installed the led tribar, signals front and back and the brake light. Other than that the bike is stock.
I'm waiting to do the headlight in a few weeks.
This coed is now present and was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I would take it to the dealer but it just snowed again
Let me know what you think it could be.
Crash B2161 is Brake lamp output open. LED's don't use much current so the BCM< (Body Control Module) doesn't think the light is working. Don't know who's lights your using but I would call Custom Dynamics and explain what is happening and they will sell you a "load equaliser" that will add a little resistance to the circuit to get the BCM to recognise the light is on.
The BCM is the Body Control Module, b2161 is the code, which is Brake Lamp Output Open. Go back and check your work, you flubbed up something with the brake lamp. BTW, please tell me you have the Factory Service Manual AND the Electrical Diagnostics Manual that you can reference when performing any work on your bike? If you don't have both I highly recommend you do so!
I went and checked everything this morning.
Unplugged everything and reinstalled it. It seems the magic strobe module causes the error.
If I remove it and use the brakes everything is all good. Once the strobe module is installed the error immediate shows up.
