Nice, I have the same basic issue as you only mine is L3, L4 and L5 involvement. I don't want to go that tall but I started looking at 10-12 inches tall, I went out and measured and that's about where I want to stay.

I went with 10" Kromewerks , Bobber style bars on mine ( 300210 ) . I didn't have to extend the wiring or cables at all . I went with the bobber style because the pull back was only 5.23" which made my wrists straight with my fore arms . The minimal pullback kept my hands from going numb . I'm sure I could have went with 12" easy enough , when I had the headlight opened up , there was enough wire inside that I could have gained a couple more inches .

Heritage Bars are a common swap, that's how I went, wires worked out perfect.

Default Here's what went with

I sat on my bike and measured for both 10"and 14" tall bars. Both would have been comfortable but I went with the 14" bars I bought the Khromewerks 14" Bobber style apehangers bars(300212). My youngest son has 14" bars on his '18 Road Glide, I took it for a ride and it was a very comfortable position for my hands and arms.
Thanks for all the input it was extremely helpful in making my decision. I'll post a before/ after pics when it's done. Keep the shiny side up!

Glad to hear you made a decision , I had the 14's on my previous bike . They were very nice and I loved them . I'm planning on going 14's on my Road King in the future , but will go with the 1 1/4 " . If you plan on doing the internal wiring , you may find it much easier .

Since your changing your bars you should also change the bushings to the poly bushings . It will help reduce the flex you will feel with the longer bars .

Default Bars

Not sure which way I'm going on the wring yet. I love clean look of the wires inside the bars. On my '93 Springer I ran the wires inside the bars, just looks better. Can't wait to put them on and get some seat time this year, got very little last year because of my back. See y'all in the breeze
