first....awesome bike congrats...... second... if you like the color great.. if not you can always mix it up.... i added a little paint to break up all the black on mine.....although mine is a 17' so i was the one that added all the black in the first place...
You can get the Rockford Forgate complete system with amp, speakers, https://rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/hd14-tkit/. + https://rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/tms69bl14/. pretty reasonably, and they can cut the speakers into your existing lids, so you dont need to buy lids. Use a reputable Rockford authorized shop, who can do the Harley flash for Rockford Fosgate. This system is way better than the Boom or Boom II, but not a top of the line system for bike shows etc... Really good upgrade without breaking the bank.
One word of caution: Only get rear speakers if you are doing it for a passenger to hear. You cannot hear them at all at speed. It doesnt matter if they are the worlds largest and most expensive speakers. Rear lid speakers are only effective in parking lots, or for a passenger.
Im no help on tour packs. I dont care for the look of them, but Ive heard the eBay knock offs work fine, but you would have to get them painted. Knock off or HD, they are expensive. I use various combinations of HD and Viking bags with the HD detachable rack, and detachable sissy bar. Holds just as much, but the stuff can easily come with me into the motel.
fyi... i have both RF kits... if you tune your amp properly you can hear front and back speakers.... in fact mine is like im sitting in a sound bubble, with it all around me... id suggest you look up on how to tune it... you will be pleasantly surprised...
Hey op, how do you like those bars? Hows the wrist angle?
So far I really like them, and I'm surprised at how comfortable they are, and how good slow speed control is. However, I was wrong in my first post - they are not the HD brand bars. They told me, but all I remember is they are "something 7" I think.
I was so tired from a lack of sleep because we are dogsitting 2 yappy little ******** I just can't remember. I have an appointment back at the dealer tomorrow to have a Simonize Ceramic coating done, I'll try and get the brand.......
Thanks for the shield suggestion. My wife said this will be my last bike for twenty years but I was able to talk her down to ten. LOL. I want to get a 2-1 exhaust and a tour pak. I'm already getting the screaming eagle tuner with auto-tune and the screaming eagle intake. Any suggestions regarding the exhaust, aftermarket tour pak, and aftermarket bag lids with speakers?
According to most on this forum, a 2-1 exhaust is going to void your power train warranty. If I was going to void my warranty with a 2-1 exhaust I definitely wouldn't go with the SE tuner or the Smart tune (auto-tune) module that are going to limit your performance. I chose to go with the H-D Hi-Flow exhaust and the SE tuner and the Smart tune because of the extended warranty I wanted to have on my stage 3. I know I have given up performance but that was the direction I chose but my bike does run good and no problems at 16k miles.
Congrats. I got my 19 Wicked last year. Never was a fan of Denim until I saw this one, just spoke to me I guess. Been easy to care for thus far. Did a Stage II with Rinehart Slimlines, all covered under warranty. Runs very nice, this M8 is the best HD motor I've had (88, 96, 103 and 110).

Thanks for posting your picture with the tour pack on. At some point I'm sure I'll get one for those longer trips......

It was a requirement from my wife. She finds the tour pak significantly more comfortable than a simple backrest (who wouldn't) and the extra space is useful. Sure isn't cheap, but I got it really fast, like just over a week.

I'd get one just for the extra room, but as spendy as I'm sure it was, it's probably less expensive than the Sportster I got for my wife las summer
