Hey All, Upon taking the bike out of hibernation, I noticed on the tank by the seat some paint missing.
My last ride was in December, it was real cold that day, my legs were huggin the tank. Is it possible my pant leg rubbed off Clear Coat and Paint in 60 miles?
The bike only has like 2000 miles and I know under normal riding my pants ain't touching the tank.
I’m not sure what is involved in the clutch recall, but my guess is the dealer had the tank off and dropped and damaged it, then unsuccessfully tried to wet sand and polish it out.
I hate hate hate dropping my bike off. I've never had a bike that didn't have cosmetic issues so it's always been a pain to do the walk around to point stuff out.. Many years ago I had my softail in and someone they gouged the hell out of my rocker box cover. After a small complaint I got it fixed for free but they were workin on my carb so it was easy to dispute
