1) On my 17 Ultra Limited with 15,000 miles on it I found that my front pads are getting pretty low and that the inner pad is worn more than the outer pad. Approximately 1/16 difference.
Is this "normal" on touring bikes? On my dynas and my cars they always wore equally unless the calipers were bad.
2) What's y'alls opinion on different brands of pads for touring bikes? I used LBC's on my dynas but since this is heavyweight touring bike I figured one of you may have good advice.

They are thin when new. So it doesn't take much wear to reduce them to really thin.
As for wear, ideally they should wear evenly. But, the calipers are exposed and dirt builds up, blocking the free motion of the pads and the pistons, so uneven wear results. You can mitigate this by doing the spring cleaning of your calipers.
