Hello, can you please tell me how this worked out for you, I have a 98 Electric Glide and need to either replace the inner and outer fairings or go fairing less, which due to budget would be the best option for me. So I'm wondering how your project worked out

You can replace both inner and outer fairings for $170.00 from Amazon. My buddy just did this.
Are you planning putting the speedo on the tank? If you do, plan ahead, and get it programmed to your mileage.
Personally I think it will be a giant mess, and harder than you think but nothing is impossible. Maybe make it like a FLHS, though I don't think those looked as good FLHR.
I suspect stuffing the wire in the nancelle could be challenging.
If this was me, I;d look at what I could sell mine for, and what I could buy one for. Then I would look at all the parts I needed, probably won't think of them all either, and evaluate price. Then myself, I'd keep riding it the way it is. But some people like projects and custom bikes.
