2011 MAP sensor woes

2011 MAP sensor woes
I have been fighting a problem for a few weeks now. Symptoms were as follows.
-Felt like you’d drop a cylinder when you hit a bump
-Poor idle occasionally sometimes not
-I feel like it was lacking performance. It’s a stage 1 103. My old bike was a stage 1 96 and it would run circles around this bike. Maybe that’s normal, I don’t know. I know there’s a small weight difference (old bike was a softail heritage).
-Seemed to run normal if you were in it more than ~25% throttle.
Anyway, it all came to a head last weekend, hit a large bump and it would hardly run. Dug into it and finally unplugged the MAP sensor. It would run fine, although quite rich. Pulled the harness apart and found a broken wire right at the connector. I’ve read a lot of people replacing their sensors only to have the issue return and replace it again. Reason for posting this is to hopefully save someone the trouble of having to do that. Harness was stretched tight and vibration finally did it in. You can get a new pigtail several places, The one I got was for a Polaris 4 wheeler but it worked great.
