I recently purchased a 2016 Ultra Limited (49,000 miles). When the cycle is in neutral or 1st gear (at a stop sign) it seems to vibrate/shake a lot (handlebars and engine). I know that some Harley's tend to shake more than others. Is this normal? I stopped by my local HD dealer and the mechanic said it was normal due to the high output engine. Thanks!
I test rode a 2016 Ultra Limited, and it shook like crazy, I couldn't see straight. Everything in my field of vision was bouncing all over the place. (for me anyways) I then test rode a 2017, what a difference. So, I bought a 2018 Ultra Limited Low. Didn't like the color on the '17.
Try putting it in neutral or hold in clutch and let off the brakes. Vibration will go away.
Holding the brake while idling will cause it to vibrate allot. Especially the front brake.

A couple of questions? Are you riding in hot weather? Do you have the EITMS enabled? If so, that shuts down one cylinder at idle. I have the exact same bike.

I know some guys think it is so cool that shakes like hell. But after a long day on the road, I can do with out shaking my spine. After the baby boomers die, maybe we will realize mechanical items are better off without vibrtions. I have not road a M8.
