If you want you can buy the rod ends from mcmaster carr. Here are some that look good but by all means if you like something else they have a great selection. You will need one left hand and one right hand threaded end for each link.
running an 05 RK and love the way it rides, but we are very aggressive with it too ...installed the Bagger Brace in the rear years ago ...but still have just a slight wobble in turns only if there's a dip or bump while leaned over ...
will be looking at this FIX for sure ...Thanks again for this info !!!
I'm on the band wagon. Have the stainless w/PTFE ordered from McMaster. Thanks for the size, thought that was it. Mine have been squeaky when cold for long time
I notice the rod ends you have posted have a Nylon/PTFE Plastic Blend Insert or the other one has a PTFE Plastic Liner. How will those hold up to the heat?
I have a 2004 Road King and I am trying to tighten everything up by rebuilding my swing arm right now. I installed Aurora Bearings and new steel bushings as well as the Sta-bul disc kit and the Drag Specialties Swing arm Isolator Mounts. I am also replacing my front motor mount with a Glide Pro one.
So after reading this, it sounds like that is something else I should do.
Max, can we get all the Part numbers off your invoice?
looks like we need:
Left Hand threaded rod end
Right Hand rod end
2 jam nuts (1 RH, 1 LH)
and the center link,
because it looks like none of the HD stuff fits in-between the McMaster carr rod ends?
The stuff I bought came from ECNO IIRC Now MSCDirect.. I taking a guess on the what would be a good rod end. I'd give them a try. Don't have an invoice. If you look the HD nut and rod, it works. Or at least it should. If you look at the one I used, it is actually a Sputhe setup for the rear of a dyna. It uses mail threaded rod ends and a double threaded nut.

Thanks Bruce
Should hold up fine to heat. Nylon PTFE stuff is supposed to be good to 200C. None of links actually touch the motor. The connect to external steel mounts that have poor thermal conductivity.
BTW, I'll guarantee you that these mounts won't last like the stock ones but should be usable for a range of time. The links are pretty much the same as ones use for the Bagger and Dyna braces. They should be checked periodically.
