What did you guys pay for your Dead Center Fairings? I would like to purchase one, pending the sound quality of the radio.
I think Willem is offering the polk audio speaker that I put in mine as an option now. They are great. I have the Sony marine stereo, integrated Sirius, and the polks. It sounds sweet.
I paid $2,200 for my Dead Center completely painted pearl black with Polk all weather speakers, Pioneer stereo, 12 volt extra adapter and shipped. I decided I'd have that much in it if I sent it out to have painted and installed my own stereo by buying it cheaper naked. Besides I spent$20,000 on the bike, what's another 2 for something I'll use on the road 10 minutes after it arrived via Fed Ex. You really need to look at all out there before making a decision. I did, along with taking RAM'S advice and found Dead Center was above the rest in Quality, sound, looks, ease of off and on with the great "clicking" lock system. When it all comes down to it we are talking about a 2 or 3 hundred dollar difference in Dead Center and the other brands. I can call Dead Center anytime and speak to the guy who built it! That is worth awhole lot to me! He already sent me several extra items at no charge such as a longer wiring harness to run under my tank instead of under the dash. IMO a whole lot cleaner install. Give them a call. Willem and Joel are good people!I still plan to post pictures, bare with me.
I agree, Ronjo - the fact that the owner of the company answers the phone a lot and is willing to actually talk to you was a big plus in my decision. Willem is a great guy.
Thanks!! Can I have that guys info for the dead center discount as well? After reading all the response, I'm stuck between Dragonfly and dead center. Dragonfly allow all HD accessories (including mirrors) to fit and dead center has a great locking device. !!!!
Thanks Bigdaddy11311. I forgot about that post. Looks like Dead Center wins again. I like the one post saying just buy an Electraglide. I had my bike at a ride the other day and my friend has an Electraglide. When I took my fairing off in about 30 seconds he started drooling along with the 30 or other riders who came over very quickly. The chrome headlight housing really jumps out at you when you take the fairing off the Road King. For somestrange reason it also feels like another bike whenI take it off and ride. The way Ilook at it, I have about three different bikes now depending on my mood. That would cost about $60,000 and take up a whole lot of space in my garage. As I said before, if Harley made just one model with detachable everything, they would only need one touring model on the floor.
