Guess they went fly-by-wire? Can't see any throtle cables on any of the Touring bikes.... pretty cool.
Brake mater cylinder covers are different as are the rotors.
New Bremo brakes and a 6 Gal tank.... just like a few guys here said....
Pretty stiff price increase over the past two years. Must want to get back above the metric bikes in terms of price and prestige factor...helps boost that used market a bit more again.
Dropped the Softail Standard, Duece, RK Custom, Springer. Like the Fat Bob, don't care for the Rocker-C.
Be interesting to see the colors in person, especially the Anniversary scheme.
Man...overall I'd say 08 is one of the Lamest new model years in a long time...If I was lookin for a new ride I would be racin to dealers everywhere to get a good deal on a 07 leftover..."Rocker?" Fuuuuugggleee[:'(]..."Fat Bob"?..looks like they had leftover pipes from V-Rods, wheels from Fat Boys..and were told to come up with a new model to use em up...come on 09! me wants a 120hp Bagger...
The fuel door on the touring models appears to be different. Looks like it lays on top of the console instead of dropping flush with. Also looks to have a push button fuel door release instead of the lock. I think this is good since I my key got stuck in the fuel door lock yesterday.
The Fat Bob is pretty cool, dont like the Rocker yet, well see when they come in what it looks like in person.
Im surprised they tossed the Duece and the RK Custom? Always thought those both were big sellers
