looks like the cush drive the chain driven jap bikes have been running for decades... its a proven technology and pretty hard to screw up imho... if it make a difference then it'll be fine... but won't do anything to quiet off the tranny noise some have complained about...
Not to turn this into another tranny noise thread, but I do think this will relieve the 6th gear clatter on load reduction situations that generate the "noise". 5th gear whine may be something some will have to live with, but I'm going to be optimistic and say this is the "answer" to the ones that suffer from the noise....ie...clatter mainly.
Back to the improvements/non-improvements.
