Paired my Motorolla Z3 to spotify and the boom 6.5 on 2018 Road Glide. Everything worked great and could see song title and artist and was able to toggle through. Tried it yesterday and now all I see on the Boom screen is unknown artist/album and cannot toggle. Has anyone experienced issues or is there some sort of software update for the boom system?

I found out that Spotify did an update a few months ago and they admitted that some andriod phones were not displaying artist and song information. I spent a couple hours on the phone trying different things with no luck. I also did the update on the Boom system and that didn't help. I still don't know if it's my phone or the infotainment system because Spotify actually let me try their test account and it still didn't change anything. I have come to just deal with it. The only thing that aggravates me is that I can't toggle through to the next song if I want, so I just let the songs play through.

I am also having the same problem with my moto z3 on my 2017 ultra . i was going to try to go into radio settings and see if im missing something . if anyone finds the problem please let me know

I did find a workaround of sorts. I setup Alexa as my default assistant on my phone. The artist/song will not display if I open the Amazon Music app; however, if I ask Alexa to play the music using the digital assistant (double press power button on G7 Power), it works just fine.
