After recent incident I'm trying to rebuild bike, and among many other things windshield was completely trashed. I had a Clearview recurve -2" that I was very happy with, but can't seem to find the OEM brackets and straps necessary to mount aftermarket shield and rather not shell out for a complete new HD part just for those pieces... Any suggestions?
I believe you can get those part numbers and order directly from an HD dealer. Go to HD's website and you can look up the windshield you need and then go to the instructions and they have the individual part numbers.
Just what btrzebiato said above. Once you have the part numbers, you can go to one of several HD dealers that sell parts at a discount online, up to 30%, and many have free shipping on purchases over $100. My fav was boardtracker HD but they went out of business. Try Surdyke and there are more.
I use this parts lookup tool all the time. 9 times out of 10 I walk into the parts department with the part numbers I want. (I feel better about it if I mess it up). Anyway, here you go:
(looked it up for a 2010, not sure what year your bike is)
