Default Passing light ignorance

Hello everyone....I have an 07 Street glide that I bought used a year or so ago. This bike does not have the passing lights, just turn signals on brackets. We are looking at now adding an 09 street glide as well but I see that this one does have the passing light assembly. Of course I know the more light argument for keeping them but I like the look of the 07 without them. My questions are:

1) Did they make them without the passing lights in 07 and add them in 09?
2) What is it that I need to buy to be able to remove the passing light assembly and replace with just the turn signal/bracket that is on our 07?

Thanks everyone

Ahhh...ok. Do you know of kits out there to get rid of them to make them look like our 07? Wiring etc...

First, no...FLHX line doesn't come w/passing lights (stock). PO added them w/kit. How do I know, might you ask, I added passing lights to my '09 FLHX.

Second, you can return bike back to stock & I believe no added parts are needed b/c the stock signal stems were used in kit. My recommendation is to download a copy of the passing light kit & do the uninstall in reverse order. Shouldn't be too complex...installed mine in an afternoon. Good luck & enjoy the new-to-you bike.

Craigslist or Ebay May have what you need.
no matter what configuration the factory builds people must personalize.
But the Stealership would be happy to hook you up.
Probably someone here has what you need and it's been hanging on their garage wall for years.
You are able to park the bikes side by side a see what parts are different?

Ride it before you remove them. Unless you are really into cuteness, you will probably be adding them to your 07. I sure miss them when burnt out. If you ride a lot in town you might not notice.

Also people that go up in bike, claim they are noticed more. Its not the fairing, it is the lights. Which is why I laugh at all these watch for motorcycle signs, when you got guys taking lights off.

My single LED daymaker throws as much of more light as a halogen with the driving lights, so if you’re removing them for aesthetic reasons consider an upgrade on your main lighting while you’re in there. I enjoy having plenty of light, being seen day or night and not having all the “extra” on my front end.

As people told you, FLHX do not have passing lights. Do the new ones have them? Do you think they just added them for 09? I don't know what new ones have, to be honest. But I am pretty sure they are cute bikes too.

These look to be kuryaken maybe so I would want to pull these off and replace with stock turn signals. I have ridden the 07 without the passing lights and have no problems. So i am guessing i just need to find a set of stock signals. It is the wiring that I guess i would have to figure out.
