I will look those up. And I’m going to make a run to the Harley dealer and see if they have any suggestions.

Kromewerks 2+2 should do what your looking for. Do a search on this forum and you will find some good info on this bar setup

Do some research, make a decision and then ask other members to tell you their opinions on that particular set. Many of us have tried more than one set looking for the perfect fit. Lots of experience and good advice to be had here.

SO I did research on the reach bars. They have a set that goes from 02-07 and then from 09- up. Completely missing 08 which makes no sense. So I've been looking at the Kromewerks 2+2 SWEEPER HANDLEBAR But when I look at the installed reach it only shows 12.90. Mine is already 12" so that wouldnt do much. But I'm not sure if the 15.14 is longer then mine. I measured from the bottom bend to where the curve at the throttle starts and that was 8" My bike is in a storage shed so can't just run out and measure. But I will this week. Has anyone put these on a 2008 Electraglide and knows they are definitely longer?

Bars made for 09 and up fit your bike. 08 was a bastard year. Old style frame but first year of throttle by wire. Any bar that is notched for TBW and one inch at the clamp, will work.

That would be awesome. Harley wasn’t even sure. I will definitely get the reach bars if they are good. And I figured 07 was the cut off because of the throttle by wire. Thanks for the reply. Hopefully I can soon but this thread to rest ;-)

Bring them back until about a 1/4" from tank, you will be surprised how far back that is. You might also want to take a look at the Khrome Works 2+2 Sweeper bars, no need to change wiring or lines.

Just a reminder, as I mentioned previously, you will probably need wire extensions and it is reccomended to replace the bushings when you change the bars.

One other thing, don't know if you are using fairing mounted mirrors or not, but when you replace the bars the view in fairing mounted mirrors is blocked significantly. You will likely need to install HB mounted mirrors if you don't use them already.

Thanks Frank. My mirrors are already HB mounts so they should be good. Will look up wire ext and bushings.

Unless you are absolutely set on Harley Bars....

Take a look at Wild Ones Chubby bars. They are a very well made bar. They have many sizes and a chart that shows how they relate to each other. The Klock Werks 2+2 Sweepers and a couple models of the Wild Ones bars are very popular for baggers (WO575 & WO579).

I would suggest you find a bar you are interested in, then google the make/model of the bar... you will get many opinions/reviews across numerous Harley forums....
