Default Tuner help

I bought a used 2008 harley ultra with rhineheart exhaust and it has a tune on it. The part number on it is 32109-08A which tells me that it is a Screaming eagle pro super tuner. I am thinking about changing my cams to to SE255 and i know i will have to change the tune as well. Can this tuner be updated so i can tune my bike after i change the cams? If so how can i do it or will i have to take it to the dealer and let them dyno tune it?

Thanks for the replies, i did do some searching and cant find what i am looking for, there is multiple thread on tuning and the different SE tuners and was kinda confused between the different ones.

Did you also receive the following:

32111-12 CD
32184-08 Cable kit
32101-08 Tuner training DVD

If you have the above items you should be able to tune it after you change the cams. However, a dyno is best.

no i didnt get that, i will send the guy i purchased it from a message and see if it has it. If not can it be sourced? Also if i had that can you buy tunes from companies and load it that way or do you have to write your own tune. I have tuned trucks before by loaded tunes from company on my device then load it on the vehicle.

I know the cable kit is still available at dealers, has an -08A part number now. I’m sure you could find the CD and training DVD on eBay. The guy that had the bike probably had a dealer tune it so he didn’t have the cable kit and tuning software. You should be able to load a canned map if you have the software and cables.

You don't state what your goals are with your planned cam swap but you might shop around a bit more. Unless you're in love with the school bus cams you mentioned.

Since I ride 2-up mostly I want more lower to mid range torque and I barely see any rpms above 4500-5000. I would like to accelerate faster and pull harder on the low end and going up hills. I don’t want to have to downshift as much or lug the motor. If there is some better options out there let me know and I will for sure look into them. I will be doing the work myself as far as the swap. Also my bike has 50k miles on it and what all should I replace or upgrade while I have the cam plate open?

Fuel Moto.... Give em call.

Cam kits include Lifters, Push Rods, Inner Bearings, Cams, and all gaskets To button it back up.

Might have s deal on a Powervision with the kit?

Read up on Andrews 48’s and Woods 222 Cams as I think they will meet your needs.

I went with the 48 kit and love them for 2 up riding. They are great down low and still pull all the way to 6200 if you feel like hot rodding. Just recently added a Jackpot 2:1 exhaust and found some more low end grunt.

Call Jamie at Fuel Moto and he’ll point you in the right direction.

i will check them out and give them a call. You think those two cams are a good bit better vs the 255? Only reason i looked at the 255 cam was the price around 150 for a set of take outs.
