i do have the box but unfortanetly i cannot read it since it got wet 1 time, i think to be able to load the program on computer i will need the serial number from the device and i cant read that from the box
Oh if the box itself is dead you might have trouble. I would call HD and ask how that works because the box is locked to the VIN but not sure if it goes the other way too

yeah iam going to order the cables and see if i can hook it up to the bike and see if the light comes on. If that happens i would guess it works, it didn't get completely wet just enough to mess up the box. im going to call and see if there is a way to get the serial number of the device so i download the tuning software

May have missed this. How is it that you have the tuner but not the cables. These tuners are married to one bike once they are used so if it was not on your bike then cables will not help.

i bought the bike used from a older gentleman and i imagine he had the dealer dyno tune the bike with the true dual rhineharts so he never had the cables? I know i bought the bike and all he gave me was the tuner in a box in the trunk.

great, sounds like he paid for the tuner, job done they gave him the tuner. BTW, a usb to printer cable works if you can get the other cable separately. You can download the software free and play with it to get familiar. Or take tuner and bike to dealer and let them use their cables.
