Factory 47s 12" Assault Bar Install 2017 Street Glide Special

My Assault 12" bars should be here anytime now and I'm going to install these myself. I've watched Factory 47s excellent video on this install and it doesn't look that bad if I take my time. The video is an install of the 14" assault bar on the same bike. I have 2 questions for anyone who has installed the 12" Assault bars.
1: In the video he pulls off the front panel to expose the 3 connectors and under the panel and pros them off with his plastic pry tool. Do I have to do this for the 12" Bar or will I have enough wire?
2: In the video he relocates the clutch and brake cable and then cuts a small area away from the plastic so he can run the brake line through the area where the wire harness goes which allows more cable. Do I need to do this for the 12" bars?
Is it easier if I just buy an extra wire harness? If so, can you direct me to that harness and how that connects up? Pict of under the front panel. Do I need to do this step for 12" Bar? Relocating the clutch and cable lines. This shows him running the brake line into the compartment for the wire harness to gain more cable.
Again, the video is an install of the 14" bar and I'm wondering if I can avoid any of the steps for the 12" bar.
