Default Aligning Ignition housing

Had to take ignition out to replace a twist grip sensor, all's well until I go to slide the ignition into the housing, following for badem the lock position, 4th position and the button on the lock, NOPE wont slide in,

Research and found there's a tool to re-align the ignition MY ? Is , Is there any other option rather than spending $40-$90 bucks on this "tool" anybody ever make one?

I just did a fork job yesterday. I've used a screw driver and PVC pipe many times. Yesterday was the first time I used the HD alignment tool and a seal driver. What a difference using both of these tools designed to do a specific job.
