I have a 2007 Street Glide. I rode my bike on Sunday and had zero issues out of it. That same evening I backed it out of my garage to get my golf cart out. I didn't turn the ignition or anything just unlocked the handlebars to move it. A little while later I went to put it back up and it will not start or even turn over. When I turn the ignition switch to on everything comes on as it is suppose to except for the speedo and tach lights. Also the turn signals will not come on when the button is pressed either side. When I hit the switch on the controls to run the fuel pump cycles but nothing happens when I hit the starter button. Any ideas???
Had battery fully charge and tested at 97% capacity. Reinstalled in in my bike and issue remained. I have no key fob with my bike. I didn't receive one when I bought it last year. I started checking fuses last night and the 15 amp battery fuse was blown. I replaced fuses as I checked things I have added in the last month to make sure all grounds and aftermarket things where good and fuse continued to blow. I removed my knockoff daymaker LED headlight to remove my outer fairing to start looking for exposed wires or something of the sort and the issue is now fixed by some weird chance. Bike starts and runs like it did before this happened. I plugged headlight back in and fuse still did not pop. I checked everything behind the fairing and saw no issues. Put everything back together and bike was still operating as it is suppose to. I rode it last night after putting back together for maybe 15 minutes and no issues. Went home on my lunch break and decided to ride back to work back started up great I got 4-5 miles from the house and noticed speedo and tach where dead and had no turn signals. Turned around and went home. Pulled into the garage and back to the exact same issue!
I would focus on all the most recent changes/upgrades and check related wiring--in particular any changes to how wires are routed, and look for anything rubbing or bare or pinched--and maybe undo whatever modifications and revert to stock if you don't find anything w/wiring. Sounds like you were on the right track w/headlight or wiring in fairing if it quit blowing fuse temporarily after you had that apart. Could also check what wiring is doing when you turn handlebars lock to lock if you didn't already. If you haven't owned bike very long it may be difficult to know where else to look. Electrical issues are no fun; good luck
The battery fuse appears to power the TSM , Speedo and Tach. I would remove the fuse and check between the connectors and ground with an Ohm Meter while wiggling the wires. From what I see in the drawings the Battery Fuse doe not have anything to do with the head light. Since the short cleared when you removed the Fairing I'd look at the wiring there, between the interconnect harness and Tach And Spedo then Interconnect back to the fuse block.

That happened a few weeks ago on the road just once. I did the quick on/off with ignition 5 times and started it up, everything worked since.
