Bars are mounted in bushings, there will be play.

But I'd bet it's your steering bearings needing to be adjusted. Just had mine done at 25k miles and bike feels much more planted.

My Super Glide had a terrible weave. The Road Glide was better, but it was still there. I had the front wheel bearings replaced, the rear wheel bearings replaced, the steering head bearings replaced, new tires properly balanced, Screamin' Eagle front fork oil, and Premium adjustable rear shocks were standard on the RGS.

It still weaves and hunts in an aggressive curve. I've come to the unavoidable conclusion that "it's a Harley", and not much you can do about it.

Steering bearings now that you say it is what “go to guy” said on the phone.

Wobble started about 500 miles ago. I have ridden approximately 4000 with all of the engine work done and never had and movement at all. Front tire has 300 miles on it because thought that might be it and was balanced but didn’t solve it. Bike has around 13,000 miles on it and every maintenance has always been done. Probably way more because a year ago I ripped about 7 teeth out of 4th gear in the transmission “which I will say Harley replaced” citing soft metal batch as the cause.

I plan on on bringing it in on Friday but did want to bother my tech on his day off. Even if it’s the steering bearings I’m going to put a stabilizer on it as well. I do ride fast and seems like a smart investment for long term effectiveness.

Any my other suggestions feel free but I will update everyone who’s helped and I appreciate it.

Smart move... These bikes are not the best for higher speeds in stock form but do pretty good with the right upgrades. Be careful out there brother!

Thank you sir. With the disclaimer most of my high speed is Chicago suburbs on expressway 4 lanes and at midnight during the week so traffic is very minimal. We all know it’s just hard to not twist the throttle: with 3 miles in front of you on new pavement (and potholes in others), and not a car to see.

I have replaced wheel bearings at 13000 before maybe that's it.

did you check the rear axle as advised?

Just me, but the correct term is "high speed wobble" old time safety feature of springer front ends.

check front forks for leaks, maybe heavier oil, and be sure both forks have the correct amount.

or how about something simple, like 25 pounds of beer in one saddlebag and the other empty?
