Has anyone changed the handlebars on their Street Glide? I need something that pulls back a little further, maybe like a beach bar or whatever. Just wondering if it's possible without changing all the cables(like how much extra length is there to work with). Thanks.
I just put some Khrome Werks +2 Sweeper bars on my SG. Pics in my gallery. I really dig them so far - lots more pullback and a more "natural" hand position. Plus, the bars are only $60 factory-direct.
My dealer says a cheap way to go is to install Heritage bars. The bars are cheap - about 50$ - and stock cables work. If you want more comfort and are not looking for chrome or hidden cables this may be the way to go. I'm going to try it out soon on my 06 SG.

Heritage bars will not work on a glide, you're dealer is wrong as usually they are. I went with WILD 1's wo575's internal wiring 2" pullback!!

QUESTION can you adjust the position of the stock bars by just removing the lower switch housing or do you have to pull the whole front fering etc?
