Default Rear fender fascia problems

Good Day All, So my rear fender fascia is loose. A friend of mine told me that I had
to replace it. Is there anyone that has had a problem with it and what was the fix.
Any ideas to a solution would be greatly appreciated.

Memo

Do you mean a Streetglide fascia that rattles at the bottom where the led lights are? The fascia is held on by two screws per side into the fender and the bottom slips into a clip on the inside bottom of the fender. Mine used to rattle all the time. To the point that it chipped the paint on the edge of the fender. I started by slipping a piece of poster board in there as a shim but kept losing them. I finally glued a thin washer to the clip to take up the space.

Street glide rear fascia. If it's loose, check for cracks in the plastic, if it's cracked, replace it. I glued it in place with silicon adhesive between the plastic fascia and the bottom inside of the fender and that really worked well. You have to be able to take the fascia off to do it right, and it takes a few tools to do it, a nut driver and a 1/4" drive ratchet with an extension and flex socket etc, as I recall. Without the glue It's hopelessly weak no matter how hard you tighten the screws. The fascia on my 2019 doesn't flop around so Harley must have improved the fastening somehow, I hope anyway

It was loose at the bottom on my 2014 Street Glide as well.A few yrs back I placed a piece of rubber from an old inner tube between the pinch clamp and the facia.Been tight ever since.

The fascia on my '16 SGS was loose and rattling and chipped the edge of the fender and started to rust the fender. I took the bike to the dealer and they replaced the fender under warranty. This was in the fall of '17. I just noticed the same thing (in a different spot on the fender) is happening again. I'll be heading down to the dealer hopefully tomorrow to see what they say.

It might be the metal support just on the inside bottom of the fender. I put a Ness facia and I had to loosen the support so the facia lip stuck under the support, then tighten the side nuts, then tighten the support nut. The ugly 2" round disc under your license plate is the through bolt that supports fender to the inner brace.
