I went with a Sunpie figuring I've wasted $40 on dumber stuff before. I've been really happy with it, it looks just like the pictures posted above. Clearly there are better options, but the Sunpie is miles ahead of the stock lamp.
One thing I noticed is that once I put that light on, my FM reception went to crap to the point where it is almost useless. Maybe it has an issue with shielding, or it could be an issue with my head unit.
I went with Sunpie off Amazon and couldn't be happier. I didn't have to make any modifications for it to fit. Pretty easy install.
The only criticisms I have is the ring cover is a bit looser than before and the fitment isn't perfect like the OEM one. However, for the money, I can live with it.
I bought the cheap Chinese knockoffs and have been reasonably happy with them. So far so good, and the price was right. They are better than the factory halogen units by a long shot.
I also bought the Sunpie for my 2018 SGS and am very happy. In addition, I also bought the Custom Dynamic LED front signal kit. Coming toward my bike or me coming toward you, the LED signal kit makes my bike look like it has the two passing lamps as on the Ultra models. I don't really ride that much at night but the Sunpie LED along with the Custom Dynamics front signal kit have made a difference in my day visibility to other vehicles. My incidences of people starting to pull out in front of me are down noticeably.

Eagle lights, I ran the 8700 gen 2 on my 2017 SGS, crazy bright. I have a 2019 cvo street glide now with the stock HD daymaker, the eagle light was much brighter than this HD daymaker.
Another vote here for the Sunpie. Bought mine last summer, so far so good. Ride with a buddy who has the Daymakers, his has a whiter light but the Sunpie lights up every bit as well. Would definitely recommend.
We actually just did some tests of our ProBEAM headlamp comparing it to the Daymaker and Sunpie units. Check out the results below!
Note how much wider and evenly spread the beam is on our ProBEAM unit when compared to the other options.
STOCK HEADLAMP ^Stock Rushmore lamp, high beam
DAYMAKER ^Daymaker, high beam
SUNPIE ^Sunpie, high beam
PROBEAM ^ ProBEAM, high beam
Appreciative of this post and confirms my Sunpie purchase. Way better than stock and equal to Daymaker. My budget likes knowing it is wise.
