Aftermarket headlight mounting bracket
OK .. I went out on a limb and bought an aftermarket (Chinese) LED headlight to replace a many year Trucklite LED headlight on my 2009 FLHT. It works nicely, but the housing is a bit more robust than the OEM/Trucklight housing. I got it to fit/aimed OK, but wondering about trying an open back style. I know others have had some issues with aftermarket fitment, and I'm wondering what you use that works well? Prices vary from $15 >. Thanks for any info..

When I changed over I replaced the light bucket with HD one part number is 68124-04B it worked great. On my '09 probably like yours the light bucket was soup bowl shape so it didn't work with new headlight. Any type open bucket should probably work though like you have in link.
Yup .. I took a tin snips to mine and cut it down/ground it smooth. It does fit better, but still not great. I'll likely spend < $20 and try an open one and see if it works better.
