I love the paint scheme. The only thing I do not particularly like about my Road King is it's black but it was too good of a deal for me to let pass. Eventually, I'll get some paint effects on it to break up the black. That being said, buy it already, you won't regret it.

I am a fan of the black out scheme and keeping chrome to a minimum.

I didn't move up to an M8, however, I did go from a 2009 Dyna to a 2009 Electra Glide this year and don't regret it one bit. I find the Electra Glide is just as fun to ride as my Dyna was now that I'm used to the extra weight.

I went from a 2006 Flst, to a 13 ultra classic. Like night and day, plus the cruise control is awesome. I don't regret trading other then a payment on my bike.

My last Dyna was an 06 Super Glide Custom, loved it. Made the jump to a street Glide for more long distance comfort, haven't regretted it at all. Do I miss the Dyna? Yes, sometimes I do but 98% of the time I don't. Once you get used to the extra weight you'll be throwing that King around like it's nothing.

Interesting thread. I'm on a Switchback and have been lusting for a standard RK for a while. Kind of like a super sized Switchback. I've test ridden an M8 RK and found myself literally laughing on the whole test ride. Loved it! I've seen speculative rumors that for 2020, all the big bikes get the 114. Holding out for that.

I opened this subject thinking I was going to learn about the new windshield maker, RKS. Come to find that this is another thread from a Dyna driver moving up in the Harley line.

Congratulations on your new ride. If you ever want to add a windshield to your Road King, check out LRS windshields.
