Default ABS brake bleeding

Simple question. Is there any way to cycle the abs unit for bleeding purposes without going to the dealer and having it done? 2017 RGU. Thanks in advance for any information. Mike

There are other consumer programs available. http://infotechmercenary.com/product...flush-utility/ is one at a reasonable price.

I'm probably going to catch hell for this but I'm a firm believer that changing brake fluid every two years is overkill. It's very important to get out in some loose dirt once a week or so and activate the ABS so you can move some fluid through the HCU. It makes sense if you never activate your HCU for two or three years that bad things happen to it. Activating it and moving fluid through it on occasion keeps it healthy.

Brake fluid absorbs moisture so it needs to be flushed periodically to get the moisture out.

Thanks... Ordered the kit. Seems a bit expensive for what it is, but I guess it will pay for itself in one use.

I hope you didn't order that one. That link is for 2008-2011 bikes.

Never really thought about it, but I guess you could think of it like your prostate...

as long as you got that setup, may as well go ahead and pick up one of these as well:
Amazon Amazon

for $11, seems like a pretty useful addition to the tool box.

Sorry to say I think you wasted your money. HD dealer had the equip. to flush safely, after all they are your brakes. Good luck and keep us posted, I hope I'm wrong, there may be another way after all.
