07 Engine Idle Temp. Management System
Has anyone activated the EITMS on thier 07 bike and what do you think about it if so? According to the ShopTalkmag. from the local dealer you can have it activated and deactivated one time each under the warranty. I'm also thinking about installing a heat shield. Any recommendations on which one is better?

I've had mine hot enough for the engine light to come on once, and the next day, I bought an oil cooler and flushed the 20/50 oil for Redline. No problems since, and yes I do believe the bike started tofire different timingto the rear cylinder and load fuel cause it ranpoorly just before I shut it down. I was stuck in construction traffic and eventually got it over to the side of the road where I let it cool before getting my *** out of that sticky wicket! Can't say how well it worked or not cause as soon as I saw that light, off went the switch. I was only interested in making sure there was still good oil pressure, and that there was.
