Default Cheap rear LEDs

I bought a set of these cheapo LEDs from Amazon for my 09 Road King Classic. I figure for the money its no risk. Anyone have a set of these? A couple questions come to mind-
1) Will I need a load equalizer?
2) Will the red LEDs be bright enough in my red turn signal lenses or will I need to buy some clear lenses?

If they are your only LEDs you shouldn't need an equalizer.

You will want either clear or smoke lenses. Even Custom Dynamics says not to use the red lenses, and CDs are probably brighter than the el cheapos.

got a pic of them? I had a set of these laying around so I popped them in the front of my '14 street glide. Surprised me the lens covers fit over them but they tripped a body module code. I don't want to mess with wiring so I'm not gonna add load equalizers I'll just buy CD's like I have on the back sometime.

No pics but heres a link. I put them in last night and they are super bright even with my red lenses. They did start hyper flashing though. I hate the idea of adding a load equalizer since LEDs are intended to be brighter and draw less load. Kinda defeating one of the main benefits of an LED aint it? I might just see if I can put up with the hyper flash as long as it doesnt throw a code. I dont think it hurts anything. Or will it?

I also have a cheapo LED bulb in my tail/brake light with the run/stop/turn module. If I go back to a filament bulb in the tail would that be enough draw to stop the turns from hyper flashing?

My o6 acted up when I disconnect the trailer. It didn't mind the added load of another bulb, but disconnected it thought there was a problem. There is a procedure in the owners manual I had to go through to adjust to the current draw. I wonder if this is an option going 1 led and 1 incandescent.

I have that brand all around in my 14 RK. I also have clear lenses in front. To me the the clear lenses were very needed in front. On the rear I have white led so I have red lenses. . On the 14 no module was required.

I really like them. They are really bright and have worked for several thousand miles. I know a led will go out but at that price I'll just get another set and still have more money in my pocket than the expensive brand.

I hope this helps.

short answer, maybe. before the can bus bikes, it was common to be able to run a set of leds in one position, while running incandescents in the other and (in most cases) not need a load equalizer.

try it and see.

I put the filament bulb back in the tail light and the signals still flash fast. Interestingly though when I turn on the 4 ways they flash at the normal speed. Im thinking that as long as it wont throw codes I might buy another set for the front and just live with the hyper flash.

The R/B/T module I used had the load equaliser built in.
No hyper flash with 4-ways because it's seeing the total bulb load.
