Default DYNO or not to DYNO

06 SG, Rhinehart tru-duals, PCIII, Ness A/C. 2 up: me 230lbs, her 140, lbs

Smoothe idle, good rumble, smooth acceleration, starts right up, almost zero popping on decel.

Good midrange pwer, 2nd and 3rd gear. average low end and hi end.

I guess I though it would have MORE POWER. It didnt shock me, get me all excited, scare the crap outta me.....just kinda was blah. i was a little bit let down.

Am i expecting to much? should this thing reall want to take off or is this about it with this setup?
I know I didnt get a torque pipe but I really thought I was gonna be really happy with what the rhineharts did.

Would a DYNO get me more than i have now or do I need to keep going to be happy.

Thoughts????

Smurf

A dyno tune will help, but a stock motor is a stock motor.

While the Rineharts look cool and most like the sound, they are really too free flowing for a stock motor and that hurts your ability to make torque at the low end.

So.... ansewer is yes, you're probably expecting more than is available in the current configuration.

i agree a dyno would help. i have the V&H fuel pack you cant dyno tune this pack, but you can get readings on what needs to be improved.
pipes do make a differance i had the basic slip ons then went to the ovals and there is a differance in power

Smurf, I would. I didn't know any better being new at the HD scene and went ahead and did it after the 1k check up. It made a in your pants difference and diffently made a difference when I ride 2 up, which is most of the time. Sounds like you got the right add-ons to make it be better than what you have. I have also seen in my journey around this forum that true duels will loose a little bit of low end tourqe. I may be wrong about that statement and correct me if so, but do a search on the site on true duels and see what everyone else says about it. Good luck and good riding. Remi

Dyno is worth it if the person running it knows their stuff and can get the most out of what you have to work with.

I know LOTS of you out there have this setup. What were your impressions?
