HD App Upload Saved Maps
New to touring bikes, so no experience with previous model years. 2019 SGS
When I create a map on the computer through HD Route Planner and try to load to my bike through HD App on my phone it fails every time. Anyone have the same issue?
Phone is plugged into USB port, HD App is open
When I create a map on my phone through HD App it gives option to send to bike and works every time. But editing the map to specific roads on phone App is not as easy as computer.

Apple Car Play was the issue. I disconnected the phone from the bike and used bluetooth to connect, maps upload to bike from HD App on phone now. After map is loaded, I can connect my phone and use Apple Car Play.
Thought I'd share in case anyone else had the problem.

Since you're using your phone for navigation, you might want to try Organic Maps. It's an app that you download the maps to your phone.
It's not wonderful for navigation, but I've found it very nice to simply have up on the display showing me where I am on the map. Neither Google nor Apple maps will do that, you have to be navigating with them for constant display. Organic maps uses good color selections so you can see the roads and better judge the terrain you're riding through.
