I have a Hero 7 Black. With the built in stabilization you dont notice any vibrations. Other models may vary in what features they have. I got the 7 Black just because its a Harley doing Harley things......... You can check some of the video Ive shot in the videos area.

I use Ram Mount suction cup mounted on the front of the fairing. Makes it easy to use and also easy to take off and stick in the trunk.
Keep a close eye on that suction cup, Had a member in my HOG group lose his gopro due to a suction mount. They do make safety tethers as backup.. Damn things are too expensive to lose over a dried out suction cup
Sweet, I'll have to get one of those. I dont really trust removable things like suction cups or adhesive tape. Dont like the idea of chasing my 350 dollar camera down the street......

I rounded the corners off on the mounting end and repainted. Made it easier to set it where I wanted it. The GoPro mount at the top is adjustable as well. Can't beat it for $12.

I guarantee you that the 3M tape or anything stuck to it isn't going anywhere. Some of the reviews for that mount say it has fallen off with their cameras. Just sayin'.

I'm also not overly confident with the suction mount. However, my buddy suction cupped his GoPro [a true GoPro mount, not some cheap knockoff] to the fuselage of his single-engine, 4-seat airplane and got some great video and the camera lived to film another day. Disclaimer: if your Harley exceeds 145 knots, do not rely on the results of this test.
Since they got rid of the towel bar for the lights I have had a hard time finding a location for mine. I had a perfect spot on my 12 but with the changes they made I'm still experimenting. Thinking of mounting on the center screw for the windshield but worried about cracking the fairing or pulling out the insert for the screw.
