These are from a cheap clamp mount on my crash bar. I purchased it from Amazon for about $15. Pretty sturdy metal unit.

I just got back last month from a 3K mile motorcycle trip, and prior to leaving purchased a GoPro 7 Black for use on the trip (never owned or used a GoPro before BTW). I started off with a suction mount on the front of my Roadglide fairing...which worked very well. The only problem was that I was missing a lot of the peripheral views because the camera could only "see" what was directly in front of me. About halfway through the trip I purchased a helmet mount for the camera, stuck it on, and used the helmet mounted GoPro for the remainder of the trip. The helmet mount is now about the only way I will use the GoPro when riding! Much better perspectives while riding, I can film more by turning my head, looking up/down, etc.

One good thing about the Hero 7 is the stabilization...just superb and the best I've seen. No matter how shaky the bike was, or my head for that matter....the video looks as though the camera was mounted on an expensive gimbal mount. Just put the small mount on your helmet(s), get a couple of other hard mounts for the bike, and play around with location, quality of the video, etc. and use what works best for you and your style of riding.

I will say this as well...BUY AND TAKE EXTRA BATTERIES! I was extremely disappointed in the battery life of the GoPro battery....it would literally go from fully charged to almost dead after videoing for 20 minutes. I bought three extra batteries (aftermarket) and a charger, and carried the extra batteries with me on the bike...and used them all each day due to the short battery life.l

Good luck!

Which resolution are you using? Battery life will be adversely affected if you're using 4K or even 2.7K resolution, not to mention using a lot of memory. I find 1080 is fine for my needs.

I just bought the mount from RickRak to mount my camera (Eken, it's a GoPro knockoff) to the fairing on my Electra Glide. It uses one of the windshield screws. It's a simple mount that puts the camera exactly where I wanted it. Make sure you buy the right mount for your ride (Road Glide verses Electra Glide). Nothing a drill bit and a 1/4-20 tap couldn't fix in a jiffy.

Had mine for 7 years and used maybe 5 times. I have various ram mount points as others do here. I did hard wire the GoPro so I don't have to worry about battery.
