Glad you're okay (dang windshield, that had to hurt). Like Bryan said the bike should clean up okay. If you keep that up, though, you really ought to change your tires to something for offroad! LOL Let us know how things turn out.
Unless your camera hasn't had the date corrected in the last 5 years.
JLION,
You are unbelievable!!! What in hell is your malfunction anyway? I've seen a few of your posts lately and so far it doesn't look like you're making any friends on this forum. Maybe you should go play someplace else. Either that, or as the new guy inthis forum try to make an effort to "fit in" instead of making ridiculous comments and pissing everyone off. Now I'm no Sherlock Holmes, but after lookingat the exact same photos you sawI was able to tell that his bike isan '07, regardless of the date stamp on the photo. I can tell based on the fact that his bike has a 6 speed tranny and a few other cluesthat make it prettyobvious. One thing thatis also very clear...you don't appear to know that much aboutHarley's and certainly not qualified to call BS on a man who was just involved in a motorcycle accident!Especially when YOU CAN'T EVEN TELL THE DIFFERENCE!Call me what you like, but today you have sunken to an all new low of stupidity with your comment. There's one other glaringly obvious thingwhich didn't even appear to cross your mind and that is....batteries. Cameras require batteries. Batteries do not last forever. The internal clock in the cameradraws the energy needed from the battery in order to keep track of the time/date stamp. Now don't loose me here, this part gets a little tough to understand. When the battery dies...so does the clocks memory. So had this occurred to you, then you would have realized the most likely answer to your question was, Billy just plain forgot or didn't care about resetting the clock/date. Finally, finally, just one last thing. Why in hell would ANYBODY make up a story about being in an accident and go through the trouble to take photos of a wrecked bike and himself anyway?
Everyone, I am sorry for jumping in a getting so upset over this but I just couldn't let this go and not say something. Billy, I am sorry about your accident and I am relieved to know that you not only survived but believe as I do and that is you were saved by the grace of God. I nearly lost my life a couple years ago when my bike was totaled andbelieve me, I know what you're feeling. PM me of you like and we can chat further. That's enough of me and my rants for one night. Sorry everyone!
Man, don't pay attention to these A-holes! I see the 6 speed and don't see any reason for you to give us any BS story. Glad you're OK. The bike can be fixed. Check the front forks cause that one pic it looks as if the right side fork may be bent. Also when I wrecked my RK it has a switch on the ignition that cuts it off at certain angles. Ask me howI know that? You have to turn the switch all the way to the off position and then back on before it will start. That if it was on it's side.
Billy, Glad your Ok. I saw you said about alot of rain in your area. Ihadposted last week about the roads after some really heavy rains in my area. Went out for a ride after some pretty nasty storms the previous 2 days and noticed the heavy deposit of stones on the roads, mainly in the turns. Maybe you lost traction due to some stones on the road. Well anyway, I hope you can figure out what went wrong, as to learn from this mishap. I hope all goes well with getting back on the road real soon. Good luck Bud, Bryan
