Default Fuel filter change

Good evening all. On Sunday, I'm going to attempt to change my fuel filter. Is this a difficult task? And is there anything I should know going in? Yes, I have the manual, but I'm looking for any advice that might not be in there. Thanks. The bike is a 2011 Electra glide police model with 35000 miles. .

Just follow the manual, pretty straight forward job. I did use a piece of wood and rubber mallet to loosen the ring, not the tool.

I don’t remember what year they updated to the heavy duty filter housing. When you twist open the white plastic housing the filter is in look at the slotted area the tabs go into. If it looks really narrow or has any cracks at all go to the dealer and see what the new ones look like. I had two of them break at the tab slots and lose fuel pressure. Finally I got a new one that was much thicker in that area. Also check the condition of the plastic fuel lines.
