I recently got $8k on a trade in of my 08 ultra toward a 19 road glide, all being relative.

Ive sold 2 bikes on Craigslist, 1 was $20,000+.

I'd think $12,000, would be a fair price for a sale. I'd get a another dealer. But a 2012, why would you trade?

different dealer is where I would go. we have 2 dealers close to each other 1 will work with you and give a pretty good deal the other wants full retail and gives low trade. I never figured out why anyone went there.

I have had my 2012 ultra limited for sale since may. I have had no interest in it. I just don't think bikes are selling all that well this year.

because there is a boatload of difference between a 2012 and a 2019/2020 model. before my 2013 got totaled, i didn't think i would trade up either. but after being forced to, i can certainly see where someone would actually want to....

how many miles did you have on your 08 ultra? I am thinking i may want to trade up to a newer bike soon. I have an 08 ultra with 51k on it.

It does sound low. I'll admit to giving 12K for mine about two years ago. It was a one owner and 5400 miles. I also realize I wouldn't get that for it now even with improvements.

i bought my 08 ultra with 40k miles on it off a older man that was moving to a trike a year ago for 6K, i would hate to see what the dealer would offer me on trade. I would probably just keep mine if they made me a low offer
