So since the Visor Trim Ring doens't fit on the Street Glide without a dreaded gap left at the bottom. I was wondering if there is a Visor Trim Ring that someone would recommend as a better fit than the HD one. I really like the look of the Trim ring but the headlight does not fit flush and the crack at the bottom is awful. Living in Louisiana there is quite a few bugs at night. I sure don't want to be constantly cleaning that thing. Any Pictures would be great too!
This is the HD visor ring with a TruckLite headlight. I also used it with a dual bulb halogen headlight. Some fiddling and it fits just fine IMO. Do I wish it mounted as simply as the factory ring? Absolutely.
I think i messed with that thing for an hour and all I did was curse! Wondering if it has something to due with headlight! I have the Evolution 8700? Any thoughts?
The biggest thing I found that helps is to have a little space behind the mounting bucket. At least the generic one I have sits right flush with the fairing so the lip of the trim ring can't get behind it. Some thin washers between the fairing and bucket seem to work well.
I like that Custom Chrome unit...cheap too. Can anyone confirm the difference between the #30107 and #30106? Something about a pointed tip to match nacelles?
