With a small screwdriver, carefully pry between
the trigger finger switch cap and switch plunger.
b. Slide trigger finger switch cap outboard to remove.
Broke the code on the button, really not a problem unless you are doing it for the first time, just comes off like stated in service manual.
Got the KST's wired with heated grips took about three try's all that is left is to mount the bars, grind the clam pins and hook up wiring.

okay, how about breaking the code down barney style? i couldn't figure it out and i didn't want to break anything. i was able to replace the grips with the heated grips without taking the clamshell completely off, but i'd still like to know. never know when you'll need to do this again.

Good choices on handlebars. I'm also considering the KST bars for the adjustability but still torn between the spearheads and the pathfinders. Also getting the 9 inch Krome werks flare windshield and a lower solo seat (coming from a Softail Slim I prefer sitting "in" the bike rather than on it). Everything else will have to wait till I can save some more money! Again, congrats on the new ride and keep the pictures coming!
