Go to the dealer and ride them both better if you can get some highway miles too. So as not to get jumped on in My opinion the RG is more stable on the highway with frame mounted fairing doesn't get buffeted around much in the wind. Street Glide is what its name implies good for the street

It all falls to personal preference. If possible rent a road glide for a day and get to know it on a personal level, 200 miles or so, you will know which one u like better. If renting is out then look to dealer or individual that may have one you can test ride, go for a nice long test ride.
I am pro street glide , electra glide I am 5'9" and the bat wing gives me better wind protection, I like the fact my hands are behind the fairing when it is 45 degrees or less, and I can hear my radio at 90 on the interstate, I have a 2000 ultra classic, a friend of mine bought a 2012 road glide and had me ride it home from the dealer, I was excited to ride the brand new rg, it took me about 1 mile to wish I was on my 00 ultra, and when I started getting over 45 mph It got worse. Wind noise was awful I couldn't hear the radio over 45. He has added taller wind screen, speakers and other items and he loves it. Everyone is different, My best advice is RIDE ONE.

Bat wing vs fixed (shark nose) fairing
Some perceive the weight of the fairing on the forks to be significant with the bat wing vs fairing weight supported by the frame. The affects of wind are different between the two.

Headlights illuminate path of travel vs head lights stationary
Some don't like the perceived dark area before the shark nose mounted lights come around during a turn.

'Close in' gauges vs further way
Some feel the bat wing makes everything feel too close while others complain the shark nose makes everything too far away.

Beyond the cosmetics the guts are the same. Same frame, same motors, etc.

In the end it's all going to come down to personal preference. Ride em both and make the choice based on your own opinion because, in the end, that's the only one that really counts.

Each has their own +/-, but you just have to go ride a RG to get the feel (b/c you owned the SG). This question rolls around quite often, but "you're" the one signing the papers so...get to the dealer.

I chose the road glide due to being 6'4. when I rode my buddies street glide with apes it felt better than a stock street glide but still felt cramped. then I rode a road glide with 10 inch windshield and 14 inch apes and I was sold. Loved the feeling. Speedo a little far down but I don't use it that much anyways. As far as the lighting thing goes. I counter steer when I ride so really the street glide light is not pointed into the corner either. Quite the opposite. the road glide should be closer than the street glide pointing the opposite way.
