Default parade flag question

I am trying to find the best set up for the buck for a parade flag kit. Looked at jp cycles and saw the rivco set ups they have, and its like 300 for just the hardware and mount, but wasn't sure about what other people maybe using? also what poles can I use in them? I see the telescoping poles but heard bad things about them, that they cant ride over like 20 mph.

If you are interested in a smaller flag mount, maybe check these out.

If you're talking about full size flags, this might do:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Unfinished-...IAAOxyPLpRdQuR
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-or-ch...4AAMXQ1PNRdVCy
On the cheap, you might be able to get a regular flag in this, though I'm not sure where you would mount it, or how you would keep the flag from sliding down through, but it's possible:

Another way you could mount smaller flags is this:

Or for really small flags, you could use this, mounted to the backrest:

For a smaller flag, this is top notch and made in the USA. It is solidly built and the chrome does my bagger justice.

I already have a hitch on my bikes so, this was pretty easy. I have less than $20 in this not including the flag.

I rode a little over 200 miles with this set up on my SGS on 9/11. 75 or more miles was at highway speed, 75 to 80 mph with no issues. It has worked out great.

If you have a backrest (not a tourpak), go to Walmart, cabellas or a marine store and buy the clamp on stainless steel fishing rod holder. Then go to home depot, in the closet section, buy a polished stainless closet rod. Go to hw section, get some eye bolts of sufficient length to penetrate the closet rod and get a couple of steel D rings to attach the flag to the eye bolts. Last but no least, get a PTO bin with the rounded safety thingy to go through the rod holder and closet rod when on the bike.

All of the above will be less than $75.

Any questions, pm me.
