Road Glide Steering Neck Bearings

Well I just did my own 1k service. First time wrenching on a bike.[sm=happybounce.gif] I have the service manual from HD. HTF do you get a grease gun on the alemite? I know I don't want to remove the fairing just to grease it. Has anyone found a better way?

OOOPS.....nevermind... i read the post about 10 post down. SAME question. Sorry guys. I will have to hit Autozone for a 45 degree fitting tomorrow.

you don't need a 45degree fitting they make an adapter that the grease comes out of the sideof the grease gun end

Yeah, but the 45 degree fitting is cheaper than the adapter and then you can drill and tap the primary on the shifter shaft sleeve and install the stock grease zerk there to lube the shifter as the old EVO's used to have
