Hi folks,I have a 2018 SGS.With stage 1 upgrade,My question is if i want to change the screaming eagle slipons to another brand do i have to retune the bike.?

Nope, mess with the air side, then it's a good idea.

 

So long as you're not changing out the head pipe, it should be fine.

If the bike doesn't start popping and back firing after you swap them out, you're probably fine.

 

If you want the sound you have to install header pipes, I have a 16 SGS with headers and Rinehart mufflers, Makes it sound great

on my 18 SGS I Changed pipes to Rineharts slip ones and check engine light came on. Do I need to install a tuner to map the bike to get engine light off?

would the 2018 SGS already have a Tuner?

 

Have you considered having the SHOP tell you what the engine code represents? It might have nothing at all to do with a pipe change.

 

It sounds like you may have the O2 sensors backward. Check it for codes.

 

If all you did was change the slip on's then no, you shouldn't need a tuner. No the bike does not come with a performance tuner, unless you bought it used and the PO did it. As stated, take to the dealer to get the codes ID'ed

 

MY local H-D shop is who is telling me to add tuner if I add new slipons and to expect a check engine light. Cleared code as it would have nothing to do with pipes and slepted well
